Q. HOW ARE YOUR TABLEWARE ITEMS MADE?
A. Mugs and plates: Each porcelain piece is hand made with the most ultimate care. Molds are made from the original piece (which was wheel thrown and/or hand built) and a custom porcelain recipe is created to suit each designs need. After a piece comes out of a mold, it is hand finished on the wheel and fired in a kiln for the first time. Food safe glazes are applied and the pieces are fired again. Finally, each piece is hand decorated with screen printed, lead and cadmium free ceramic decals and fired for the last time. This process takes several weeks. Each step is never rushed and most certainly, always carefully executed. We choose to produce our porcelain pieces the hand made way in order to offer the most unique, one of a kind pieces with a distinctive organic quality.

Q. HOW ARE YOUR HOME ACCESSORIES ITEMS MADE?
A. Candles: We create our scents in house with only pure essential oils. Each candle is made of soy wax and carefully hand poured. Cushions and Towels: Hand selected fabrics are screen printed with non toxic/water based inks then delicately sewn.

Q. HOW ARE YOUR JEWELRY ITEMS MADE?
A. Necklaces: Each necklace is hand assembled in house with only the best quality findings. Ceramic decals are hand applied onto porcelain pendants and fired in a kiln.

Q. HOW ARE YOUR PAPER GOODS MADE?
A. Cards and Notebooks: All papers are 100% recycled and inks are soy based. Artworks are printed by machine; card folds and notebook assembly are done by hand.

Q. WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?
A. All BDB products are produced by us or by one of our partners in the US. We partner with small businesses and/or eco focused businesses in the US.

Q. IS BDB ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY?
A. We choose local businesses for environmental considerations and to strengthen our local economy. 100% of our packing supplies are either recycled, reusable and/or biodegradable. All items, either made by us our by one of our partners are packaged here in our studio.

Q. DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
A. Yes we do!

Q. IS THERE A BDB STOREFRONT? I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT.
A. Not yet! Currently BDB products are mainly sold online, however, there are a few selected retail shops and boutiques carrying BDB products. Please check our list of stockists in SHOP.
